Alameda Point Studios was a project born out of a introduction to the founder, Dean Santer. Dean has been a professional craftsman for over 50 years. About 20 years ago, he was looking for a new space to build his beautiful wooden furniture in. He found the recently closed naval base on Alameda island to be the perfect space not only for him but for multiple professional makers.

I knew the story of space, community and history needed to be told both through still photographs and video. I bought on my friend and filmmaker, Tyler Young, to capture and edit the video, while I produced and art directed. We created three films. One is a quick over view of the space and the artists, one is focused on the history and community of the space and the other is focused on the creatives.
