WillYum Spice
WillYUM is a small batch, husband and wife owned, spice company based in Connecticut. I met the owners at a launch party in Oakland, California. Over the last 2 years we worked together to create compelling stop motion and still imagery to highlight their high quality products. I help with art direction, as well as creating the sketches for each concept for them to review and approved ahead of time in order to make the process smoother.
product highlight
Jalapeno Salt is a best seller for WillYUM Spice, so I created a stop motion showing the ingredients that make it up as well as several still images.
holiday seasonings
The idea was to show off their seasoning bundles while highlighting fall tones with a pop of red, which is the brand color of WillYUM Spice.
perfect pair
A recipe was developed and photographed to highlight the blend of Turmeric and McKay’s Curry in a soup paired with garlic bread for dipping featuring their signature garlic blend. Further a Valentine post was created with the two seasoning
Showing Off
Showing the product helps to connect to the quality of the product. This spice bomb and smoking bottle were developed with this in mind. Creating the Tumeric explosion was done over a bathtub to make clean up easier and the final image is a composite of three images. The smoking bottle took a few matches to get the smoke to flutter in just the right way and almost set off the smoke alarm in my home studio.
the full line up
The idea was to create some evergreen imagery showing off the whole spice line up. Both of these image have a stop motion variation. The bottles on the shelf vanish one at a time and the angled bottles tick tock back and forth.
